This building has a front portion and a back portion. The front portion is the office and store. The office has a desk, filing cabinet, and a large counter with cupboards and drawers. The store portion is used to sell tackle, convenience foods and we also have a freezer in it which has ice cream treats also for sale.
The back portion of the building is opened from the back and has the mens and women's modern washrooms. Each washroom has 2 toilet stalls and a shower stall as well as 2 sinks. They have tile flooring and the walls are painted white. Between the washrooms is the Coin Laundry area which has a coin operated commercial washer and dryer. Behind the laundry room is the utility room which is lockable from the laundry room and has a washing machine for camp laundry, the water heaters for showers and laundry as well as shelving, camp linens and cleaners.

Fish Cleaning Hut:

The fish cleaning hut is wooden and is totally screened from about 4 ft up. Inside is painted white, has tiled flooring with a drain for easy clean up, a sink and aluminum counter. It has a light as well for those later evening fishermen. We get many comments on the fish hut as it is so clean and nice to work in.

Boat House:

Located near the water.
Contains a freezer for guest use. Back part of the building is lockable and contains the pressure system (which pumps water from the lake to the toilets as well as the fish cleaning hut), boat motors, boat gas tanks, life jackets, paddles, etc.

Puntzi Lake is 2 hours west of the city of Williams Lake. Puntzi Lake is known for an excellent place to fish for kokanee and rainbow trout. (Kokanee are land locked sockeye salmon). Development around Puntzi Lake includes full time residents as well as seasonal cabin owners. We belong to the district of Chilanko Forks. It is a close knit community with friends and neighbors helping each other. The lake itself is 7 miles long and 3 miles wide. It is recorded to be 140 ft deep at it's deepest. There are 4 resorts on the lake. Our customers have told us that they come here because it has the best moorage, the campsites are the nicest with many water front and treed. Pull through sites are easy to access and also have a lake view. Our cabins are all lake front with a wonderful view of the lake. We have many repeat guests who come year after year and many several times a year. Guests who are here for the first time leave happy and will be back. We have many reservations for 2010.
The business has grown over the past several years. We were happy with the revenue the first year but since then, we have seen increases yearly. This year we have seen an increase of over 10%, which we are extremely happy about with the economic downturn that has affected many businesses. We are open from mid May to end of November each year. We basically have 5 months off each year so the income listed above is earned in only 7 months. If someone wanted to be open longer, there is a need in this area. We get many calls during the winter for work crews and holidayers looking for cabins. There is no one open in this area in winter.
