The retail industry is always busy, although the most profitable sectors vary from region to region and with the economic climate. Retail space is as varied as the goods on offer, encompassing everything from market stalls to warehouses. For clothes and other goods which change with the seasons and have a strong visual impact, a shop window on the high street will attract casual passersby. Larger, more expensive items, which tend to be premeditated purchases, are more often sold from out of town sites, as customers are willing to travel for them. Shops selling similar goods tend to cluster together, so that shoppers attracted by one name can visit nearby stores, to the benefit of both customer and retailer.
