The Oceanfront Hotel and Accommodations has been in business since 1975. The building has been completely renovated and upgraded throughout the years.
We have a total of 5 apartments (full kitchens), 12 suites/rooms (kitchenettes), 6 tourist/ guest rooms (no kitchenette) and a tenant laundry room. We are the only hotel in town.

Currently the owners and managers live in 2 of the apartments and we have 12 long term tenants. 4 of the spaces are wheelchair accessible/friendly. There are no mosquitoes in this area. You can leave the patio doors open at night and sleep listening to the sound of the waves. There is excellent drinking water and we are on sewer system.

The pub closed during Covid and we have not reopened it. We are ready to retire and look forward to enjoying the lifestyle that Malcolm Island offers- sports fishing, kayaking, hiking, camping, and beachcombing. We pay a manager couple to help with the daily running of the business and we have streamlined our day-to-day operations to be the minimum amount of work.
The pub/ restaurant and commercial kitchen are all still there waiting for the new owners to work as much or as little as they like.

• There is a very affordable harbour 1 mile away with lots of good moorage for all types of craft. There is fabulous crabbing in Rough Bay and beautiful clean beaches to walk on and kayak from.
• Wildlife viewing, whale watching and sports fishing. Exciting halibut and salmon fishing in front of the hotel. We are in the heart of the North Island ecotourism area.
• Excellent school on the island. Community gardens available for rent. The museum is a big draw for people who want to know more about Malcolm Island’s Finnish history.
