Myers Cave Resort is one of the oldest resorts in Ontario, established in 1912, and continuously operated since then. It sits on 10 acres of rolling hills with sandy beach on Marble Lake as well as waterfront on the rapids. The property is zoned "Resort Commercial" with part of the property zoned "Agricultural" - allowing multiple business expansion possibilities.
There are multiple buildings on the property, all of them renovated between 2012-18. The Lodge is unique and very popular with large groups as it sleeps/dines 20 people in 8 bedrooms and can be used as a base for large groups. At full occupancy the resort sleeps 60 people in comfortable modern accommodations while still allowing them to enjoy the rugged outdoors. We have a large return client base as it is very convenient for large families and groups that want to share the space for the week/weekend.
The in-ground concrete heated pool and in-ground concrete hot tub was finished in 2013 and built to commercial standards with WiFi enabled controls and Intelichem system. Complete with change-rooms and washrooms it also has pool-side entertainment system with 60" LED Sunbright outdoor TV.
The property has WiFi signal throughout including the beach as well as Video Surveillance with remote access. Beside the Lodge, there are five 2 bedroom cottages with 1 bathroom and kitchenettes and a 2 bedroom 2000 square foot house with full kitchen/ living/dining room, 2 bathrooms and a 2 car attached garage. There is a three bedroom owner/manager house on the premises - the property has been operated by a management couple for the last 14 years, with full occupancy 2 people can manage it.
There is a renovated barn and paved parking for 30+ cars. The beach has a beach-volleyball court, outdoor bar with running water and boat/seadoo docks. There is excellent fishing/boating on Marble Lake. The resort owns the shore-line, giving our guests extreme privacy in the south end of the lake.
Over the past 16 years the resort has been operating with only 4 rented premises 6 month of the year (only 36 person occupancy out of the possible 60) as the rest were being occupied by friends and family - still generating 100K + in NET income. Operating at full capacity year round (the Lodge, Suite and the 2 larger houses are winterized) the income potential is 250K + as it sits on the snowmobile trail and very popular with motorcycles in the fall. We hosted weddings, corporate meetings, team building events and so on. It is 5* rated on Tripadvisor and have a very loyal client base on VRBO.
