Well established company servicing restaurants and commercial kitchens between Kamloops and Prince George, as well as surrounding areas. Work performed for customers includes cleaning and degreasing the kitchen exhaust system, testing (also installing) the automatic fire suppression system installed in every kitchen hood and the servicing of portable fire extinguishers.

This work is done on a semi-annual basis in most cases, mandated by fire code and insurance requirements. Seasonal businesses are certified annually while 24-hour and very busy establishments are cleaned every 3 months. Fire system tests are done every six months and portable extinguishers are certified for one year. Customer loyalty is very high, training included for up to six months, or until proficiency is achieved.

New 16 foot cargo trailer with all the equipment needed to carry out service work. Shop equipment includes a station to refill portable fire extinguishers. Truck to pull the cargo trailer is not included but can be negotiated if it is needed.

There is very little competition in this industry, and even fewer competitors that can both clean the commercial kitchen exhaust and test the automatic fire system at the same time.

Reasons for selling:

I want to retire and have a large customer base that is very loyal. I would like to leave them with a conscientious operator to serve their needs. Finding a new contractor in the areas I service is not easy

Trading hours:

24/7. Work is mostly nights as the restaurant needs to be closed to carry out work.

Support & training:

I will agree to work for the new owner, or whoever they want trained, until they are competent at cleaning commercial exhaust systems and they have manufacturers certification for the fire systems we service. Professional certification with ASTTBC can be attained at the same time, once their requirements are met. Portable fire extinguisher maintenance is a course taken at the local college
