Hello, we are Titus and Tammi Midgley. We have owned Sheridan Lake Resort (SLR) for 7 years. It has been the happiest and most rewarding time of our lives and careers.
We have decided to retire and are now ready to offer this amazing lifestyle to the next family ready to make an exciting change.
This package we are sharing is to provide you with some initial information about the property and business. We are pleased that you are interested and will help you with any questions you have.
We are an organized, well run and profitable resort sitting on just over 8 acres of land on the shores of Sheridan Lake. We have increased our accommodation revenue over 100% since we took over in 2018. This year we are currently at 10% increase over last year. There are opportunities to be busier, but we chose to keep it where we are at because we are as busy as we want to be. We have included a list of ideas that will immediately and over time increase revenue if that is your goal. We manage to fund all maintenance, repairs and improvements on our own while still allowing ourselves an income. We also enjoy a nice holiday every winter.
We have a staff of 9 plus the two of us. Most of our staff return every year, so are experienced with the running of the resort. We have 2 yard/maintenance staff, 4 cleaners for cabins and washrooms and 2 staff that assist in the store/office. We also employ a local student who works as needed.
Many of our guests return every year, some have been coming for 30 – 40 years. We have a mix of both long term and short term guests. We host serious anglers, recreational anglers, families vacationing, European Tourists as well as the annual Fishing Highway 24 Ice Fishing Derby and the Annual International Navy Divers Ice Dive Exercise. Our guests book their following years’ stay during the current year to be sure they get their chosen Cabin or site.
