WD supplies windows and doors exclusively to this segment. Builders prefer to order in bulk, ensure product is on-site on schedule, and perform their own installations in a new home or apartment building envelope at the time most convenient to their schedules. WD provides the windows and doors on-site and is not involved in the installation process. Product arrives at a QC inspection/ transfer partner who then coordinates and ships to the builders’ on-site facilities, eliminating large warehousing requirements for WD or the staffing requirements to maintain the logistical needs of the builders.
